PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY
Beautiful setting and very attractive interior space. Dave was serving us and he was both well informed regarding the menu and very welcoming. The chef takes full advantage of locally produced ingredients. I’ll return again this summer with visiting family and friends to explore nearby attractions. The Waupoos winery and shop offer a range of wines produced on site and a wide selection of wine-related gifts.
Our service at the restaurant was excellent. We had a table of four people (two couples in their late twenties, early thirties) for a dinner reservation on their outdoor patio. The view was wonderful and everyone was satisfied with their meals, beverages, and the table service. We highly recommend trying a glass of the Meritage (red wine). First time visiting and we would return again in a heartbeat!
It has been quite some time since we had brunch at Waupoos, and we had friends join us; their first time. We were not disappointed; all aspects of our meal were excellent. The service was excellent and timing was perfect, we were neither rushed or left feeling we were forgotten. The weather was perfect and it was a busy day at the restaurant. We enjoyed the patio and the ambiance was very relaxing. The service staff were pleasant and professional. We will have to return sooner next time.
Towards the water’s edge you’ll find The Restaurant at Waupoos Estates, a gazebo-style building nestled amongst vineyards with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario.
What started as a humble outdoor eatery has evolved to entertain guests year-round.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY ABOUT THE RESTAURANT
Had Saturday brunch on patio of the restaurant on a beautiful summer day. We made a reservation 1 day in advance and we were very pleased that the restaurant was able to accommodate our party of 4 adults, 3 small kids, as well a small dog, on the patio outdoors. Gorgeous location with views of the vineyards and of the lake in the distance. Restaurant has just implemented a new 3 course brunch menu for $55 pp. They explained that the menu is based on a farm-to-table concept, which is really nice. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Overall one of the nicest experiences we had during our visit to PEC.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
Brought a group of friends here for brunch on a Saturday and we were all so pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The furniture/decor has been updated inside and out vs. most of the pictures here—now there’s more of a Cape Cod vibe happening with that peaceful (and rare) waterfront view. And the food was amazing! The fixed price menu had plenty of great choices, the additional shared dishes were a nice touch, and dessert was delicious. Definitely worth the price. All this and a menu of mimosas to boot—we’ll definitely be back!
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
We were the second table to arrive at Waupoos Estates today for lunch and by the time we left, it was beginning to fill up. We loved everything about this place! Chef Scott and GM, Damian were lovely and amazing hosts. The price fix lunch menu was well worth every dollar. That homemade sourdough pita bread and the very special butter was a lovely starter. Loved the fired roasted Swiss chard salad with lemon gribiche, Fifth Town Parmesan and perch roe. To die for!!! This perch was so very very fresh and was caught within a km from where Chef Scott’s team cooked it! I don’t like lake fish but as of TODAY...I love perch! Chef Scott gave me some tips on how to “liven up" the flavour and firm up the texture of a fresh piece of lake fish. The seasonal estate grown squash, goat cheese and pickled red onion soup was so tasty. Not a drop left in all three beautiful shallow pottery bowls. Their rendition of apple pie but made with puff pastry, roasted apples, crême fraiche and my favourite part, freshly picked lavender buds and tiny chiffonade of sage! The flower and herb were HUGE game changers for me. Dessert went so well with Damian’s perfect Americano.
