Blend: 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Baco Noir, 12% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot
This full bodied red wine has aromas of toasted oak and red fruits. Strawberry and raspberry meet darker notes of purple plum with hints of spice and floral. The aromas carry to the palate with balanced acidity and firm tannin.
Pasta with tomato based sauce, grilled red meats, roast pork, burgers (meat or black bean burgers), charcuterie.
This is really a fantastic blend of reds from over different vintages. The base of this blend is a Cabernet Sauvignon appassimento which adds a level of richness and weight. The Baco adds a great acidity and intensifies the dark inky garnet colour. The profile is dominated with red fruits and toasted oak from aging in French and American oak. The residual sugar at 9g/L does not come across sweet on the palate it balances out the higher acidity and alcohol for a really easy drinking red.
