The Oldest Winery In Prince Edward County!
Waupoos Estates Winery sits on a majestic 100acre water front property! The only winery that sits right beside Lake Ontario! Being at the water’s edge not only makes for beautiful scenery, but we also have a small dock for boaters to come and enjoy our estate! Our 20 acre vineyard has grown with new plantings of Shiraz grapes, Gewürztraminer grapes, and Gamay Noir grapes. We are anxiously awaiting the first harvest of these new plantings! Grapes aren’t the only thing we are growing – we have an apple and peach orchard, a modest citrus grove and a vast sugar bush, where we tap 1,500 maple trees to produce our own Maple Syrup.
Our gardens have grown as well!
Our berry bush has expanded to include new berries such as Pink Lemonade Blueberry bushes, Dwarf Cherry bushes and Haskap berries. We hope to have the first harvest of these berries next season.
We’ve been busy planting because there is more!
Our vegetable garden has also grown! It is now exploding with Tomatoes, Peppers, Onions, many varieties of Lettuce, Corn and so much more!
This expansion has allowed us to provide fresh produce to be sold in the Clafeld Marketplace (across the street from the winery), and to continue to supply the Gazebo Restaurant with fresh homegrown vegetables. A True Field to Table Restaurant experience!
The winery’s Gazebo Restaurant is nestled in the vineyard with views of our property and Lake Ontario. Our tented patio is another dining option on select days, but is also where we host many weddings, events and live music. Check under Dining for additional information on our dining options and under Events for upcoming events. The property is also home to a newly renovated Century Home available for accommodation rentals or to host a private event. Waupoos Estates Winery can host a wide variety of occasions to suit any of your needs – be it a wedding, corporate event or private dinner party. Check Under Weddings & Parties for more information
