A richly textured wine aged in French and American oak. Complex aromas of blackberry, cassis and spice intertwine with notes of smoky oak, cocoa and hints of vanilla. The palate is nicely balanced with firm tannins and a lingering finish.

The king of red grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon has conquered vineyards across the world without losing the classic character that brought it such renown. Originating in Bordeaux France Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of a crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Producing wines of great tannin, body and aroma it adapts easily to differing soils and climates. Typical aromas and flavours are dark fruit such as blackcurrant, blackberry, plum and raisin oak treatment contributes spice, vanilla, pepper, tobacco and cedar. Complex characteristics can be chocolate, coffee, herb and earth. Styles can range from fresh fruit/easy drinking to full bodied with loads of fruit and firm tannins.

From the get go this Cab was awesome to work with! Really great aromas developed at the beginning of fermentation and continued to progress. With oak influence the aromas and structure of the wine developed. Beautiful dark fruit aromas and flavours are balanced by the vanilla and cocoa from the oak.  A great dry wine with residual sugar at 5g/L
