Both of these varieties originate from Bordeaux France – the partnership between these varieties is uncanny.  The anatomy of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapevine allows this variety to have a higher tannin concentration than other varieties and it’s profile tends to be darker fruit like plum, raisin, blackberry and blackcurrant. Cabernet Franc is an early ripening variety that is more acidic and typically a lighter style then its offspring Cabernet Sauvignon (a vine crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc). Distinctive violet floral are associated with Cab Franc specifically violets, bright red fruit like raspberry and cherry and can also have a nuance of herbs or peppers

Winemaker’s Notes:

What an awesome blend of Estate grown Cabernet! These two varieties blend so well together and aged for 8 months in new American Oak. This is a rich Cabernet with a long cellar life. Only 53 cases produced
